Audi A4 B8 Non Dynamic Electric Steering Rack

Introduced in 2012, the Audi A4 B8 is equipped with an electric power steering rack. Over time, these units can develop faults, including:

  • Intermittent failure – power steering may stop working, but sometimes returns after restarting the vehicle.
  • Excessive noise – unusual sounds when turning left or right.

This can often be caused by water ingress into the steering rack, electrical failure can be due to internal electronic components breaking down.

If these issues persist, the steering rack will need to be replaced to restore reliable steering performance.
